Officials refuse to approve unlawful agreement at high-level meeting

Islamabad: In a pleasant development for the Pakistani nation, two prominent officers of Pakistan Telecom Authority refused to accept any pressure to become part of any ‘suspicious agreement’ on Monday.

The high level conference was held at Prime Minister’s House in connection with the auction of 3G Spectrum. According to the news report of daily Jang, pressure was exerted on two officers and they were even criticized on the occasion, but they did not give up and refused to be part of any process that is not transparent and that violates the rules. They were pressurized to give approval to ‘information memorandum’ evolved against the PPRA rules.
