YDA strike entered in sixth day

LAHORE: Patients continue to suffer as Young Doctors Association’s (YDA) strike entered in sixth day in Punjab.

The Punjab government’s action against striking doctors continued and suspension orders have been issued against three doctors till date. Moreover, the provincial government has also authorized hospital administrations to take action against doctors causing obstruction to daily routine operations. Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday issued fresh notices to the parties and sought reply by January 25 over the petition filed for strict action against doctors who had assaulted their senior in Gujranwala.
