Lahore: Doctors setup hunger strike camp at Services Hospital

LAHORE: Protesting doctors of the Young Doctors Association (YDA) has announced to setup a hunger strike camp outside the Services Hospital till acceptance of their demands.

However, the medics say that they will not stop their services inOPD and emergency of the hospital. The YDA calls for implementation on services structure and registration of FIR against those involved in torturing doctors inGujranwala. The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday issued a contempt notice to YDA for defying a court order against their strike. The LHC also asked for reply from the Punjab Health Department for its failure to initiate action against the protesting doctors. According to the petition, filed by Judicial Activism Panel, the doctors remain absent from hospitals despite reports of deaths due to measles. http://rtilive.pk/detail/10510
