New England vs Houston Texans: Patriots beat Texans in 42-14 game

FOXBOROUGH, Mass: Tom Brady threw for four touchdowns and New England Patriots routed Houston 42-14 on Monday night for the Patriots’ seventh straight victory.

A defense that struggled early in the season confounded Matt Schaub. Defensive tackle Vince Wilfork seemingly shutdown Arian Foster and the Texans’ (11-2) ground game by himself and the ball continuously bounced the Patriots way.
The Patriots are now a fourth quarter collapse against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6 from a 10-game winning streak. It’s the fifth time this season the Patriots have scored more than 40 points in a game.
Brady had scoring passes of 7 and 4 yards to Aaron Hernandez and 37 to Brandon Lloyd in the first half, and 67 yards to Donte’ Stallworth in the third quarter.
New England stays home next week to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night. The loss for Houston ended a six-game winning streak and ended a stretch of four road games in five weeks for the Texans. Houston returns home to face the Indianapolis Colts next week.
New England has won 20 straight December home games. Houston, which has clinched at least a wild-card berth, leads Indianapolis by two games in the AFC South and plays the Colts twice in the final three weeks of the season.
